In Dubai city there are a number of skyscrapers. Grand Hotel building at Dubai was fitted with “Highrun” lifts. On the first day after fitting the lift there appeared a few technical issues.
The lift was moving 8 floors per minute initially and in the next minute it fell down by 3 floors. This process continued throughout that day. It took 65 minutes for the lift to reach top most floor for the first time and then it stopped there. How many floors are there in that building.

its simple

a) 168

The lift covers 5 floors in 2 minutes. (since it is given the lift was moving 8 floors per minute initially and in the next minute it fell down by 3 floors)
In 64 minutes it will cover 5 x 32 = 160 floors.
In the 65 the minute it will go 8 floor up and stay there on top.
That means totally there are 160+8 = 168 floors.

since both the trains are moving in same direction with the speed of 2 km/hr and they are 8 km far away from each other. this means after exactly 2 hours they will collide each other which implies bird has flown for 2 hrs. now the speed of the bird is 6 km/hr in 2 hrs it will travel 12 km. therefore the answer is 12km
