135 cuts are required as explained earlier, and for each cut it is 5 sec. so tootally it will take 135*5 sec i.e 675 sec.

Woman has to make 135 cuts to make 136 pieces 1 yard each.
So she takes 135*5 = 675 seconds.

As explained earlier(#M40007343),
no.of cuts required to cut 136 lengths=(136-1)=135
time taken to make 135 cuts=135*5

total pieces = 136
but for 136 pieces she has to cut the cloth 135 times
since for 135 pieces the time taken should be 135*5=675 seconds

Ans = 680
Expl = Consider X as total piece of clothes to cut.(i.e.) X=136
Time taken to cut single yard of cloth, Y=5 seconds.(i.e.) Y=5
Time take to cut total clothes = X * Y
= 136*5
= 680
