Ans: 2/13 of students in the college took part in the camp.
Sol: Out of 5 girls 1 took part in the camp
out of 8 boys 1 took part in the camp
so, out of 13 students 2 took part in the camp.
So, 2/13 of the total strength took part in the camp.

Explation:
If 1 girl took part in the camp then there 5 girls in the college.
If 1 boy took part in the camp then there 8 boys in the college.
so, out of total 13 students(5 girls + 8 boys) 2 students took part in the camp.
So, 2/13 of the total number of students in the college took part in the camp.
