no of hollow cube shared by corner of cube is 8
no of hollow cube shared by edge of cube is 12*3 = 36
no of hollow cube shared by face of cube is 6(3*3) = 54
total no of hollow cube is: 8+36+54 = 98
total no of faces is 98*6 = 588
as each face contain 25 cubes so, total no of painted cube is 25*4 = 100
No of unpainted cube is = 588-100 = 488

total no.of cubes require to make hollow cube = 5*5*5-3*3*3=98
Total no.of faces of 98 cubes = 98*6 = 588
No.of outer faces of Big cube that is painted = 5*5*4=100
No.of unpainted face = 588 - 100 = 488
