The answer is: each child had originally Rs.42 each
Let each child had originally Rs.x
The eldest child parted Rs.9, so he has now x-9
Similarly, the next eldest has now x-8
the next two eldest has now x-7 and x-6 only
THE TOTAL SUM OF MONEY WITH THEM=4X-30
Similarly, those who have not distributed the money
They have 6x+24
Now the equation is 4x-30=1/2(6x+24)
Solving, we get x=Rs.42

The answer is : Rs.36
Let each child had originally Rs.x
as four eldest child distributed, after distribution they have now
6x-24(x-9+x-7+x-5+x-3)
The money with the remaining children would be 6x+24
Now the equation is:
4x-24=1/2(6x+24)
Now. solving x=Rs.36
