u have to use the numbers once at a time
smallest no divisible by 4 -- 0123457968
and by 2 it will be- -- 0123456798
hence the diff will be 1170

Smallest no divisible by 2:- 123456798
Smallest no divisible by 4:- 123457896
Diff- 1098 ans.

smallest number=2 which is divisible by 2
smallest number divisible by 4 is 4
difference=4-2=2

Ques- Find the difference between the smallest number made by using each of the digits from 1 to 9 exactly once which is divisible by 2 and the smallest number made by using each of the digits from 1 to 9 exactly once which is divisible by 4.
I exactly remember what the options were.And they were-
(a) 0 (b) 4 (c) 1170 (d) 9000

Ans-: smallest number made from digits 1 to 9 (divisible by 2) = 123456798
smallest number made from digits 1 to 9 (divisible by 4) = 123457896

Hence the difference should be "1098" which was not in any of the options....
The 1170 cannot be correct as 123457896 is smaller than 123457968.

Elitmus people gave wrong choices for this question.Hence the question was wrong.
Moreover I didn't do it even though I had the answer... :( :(

I also tried the same way. 123456798 and 123457896. But there was no correct option. I might be wrong.

but 1098 not in option.
so i tick 1170 option..
.. all option was wrong.. i dnt know its give -ve marks or +ve marks.. :( :(
