In 200 race A:B=200/185 , A:C=200/181
than in 3700m race B beats by C,3700- (181/185)*3700=80

for 185m B leads C by 4m==> 3700/185=20
20*4=80

question is wrong..
but if replace C by B in question part..
ans would be 74 mt..
as in this case C will lead B by 4 mt in every 200 mt..
and for 3600 mt C take lead of 72 mt
in last 100 C lead by 2 mt..
therefore total lead is 74 mt..

A:B:C=200:185:181
we have to find C:B
we can also write C:B as C/A * A/B which is equivalent to 181/200 * 200/185 which is equal to3620
hence B beat C by 3700-3620=80m

when A run for 200 m.
B run 185 m only.
c run 181 m only.
according to condition given in que. c beat b which looks not possible...
if b beat c then..
when b run for 3700 c run for=181/185*3700=?
so b beat c by=3700-?=answer

I think question will be like this...
in a race of 200 m. A can beat B by 19 m and C by 15 m then how much time C would take To beat B in the race of 3700
for this questions answer will be 74 min ..

Question is wrong.
It would be How much time B would take to beat C ?
A : B = 200 :185
A : C = 200 :181
B : C = 185/200 * 181/200
B : C = 185 : 181
When B covers 185 m , C covers 181 m.
When B covers 3700 m, C covers (181/185)*3700 = 3620 m.
Therefore, B beats C by (3700 - 3620) m = 80 m.

Hece for 200*18.5=3700
lead by 4 meter 4*18.5=74m

from given information we get:- Velocity of b(Vb) / Vc= 85/81

now b run 3700m and let it beat c by x meter. than 3700 / (3700-x)= 85/81

hence x= 174.11 m Ans.

For 200 mt. race
A -> B =15 mt.
A -> C =19 mt.
So, B -> C = 19-15 = 4 mt.
since in 200 mt race B -> c =4 mt.
therefore in 3700 mt. ------- = (4/200)*3700 = 74 mt. ans.

for 200 Metre
a:b:c - 200:185:181
using unitary method
for 3700 M
a:3700
b : (185/200)*3700=3417.5 mtr
c : (181/200)*3700=3348.5 mtr
b - c = 3417.5 - 3348.5 = 69 mtr
ans : 69

C:B= 181/185; .......so 181/185*3700=20*181= 3620
means B beats by C 3700-3620=80.
