8 ways...way simpler... line segment connecting 3 points of equal length -2 & for line segments connecting 2 points of equal length its 6-total 8 ways

the question is like this...what is the greatest number of segments that can be drawn so that NO 2 segments are of same length?
Answer will be 9....take points name as .(1) .(2) .(3) .(4)

.(5) .(6) .(7) .(8)

.(9) .(10) .(11) .(12)

.(13) .(14) .(15) .(16)

now we can draw line segments of different length as..(1,2),(1,3),(1,4),(1,6),(1,7),(1,8),(1,11),(1,12),(1,16) =9
