For doing Union or Intersection we would need three values. In this question the missing information in this question is Total no.of Students in the class.

The question is how many MORE students do only English as compared to those doing only maths and not how many students do only english as compared to those doing only maths.
If there are 30 students who passed in English and 20 who passed in maths.Then probably the answer would be(30-x)-(20-x)=10 more students do only English.
