8 kg of solution Y contains 5.6 kg of water and 2.4 kg of liquid X.
2 kg of solution Y contains 1.4 kg of water and 0.6 kg of liquid X.

1. After evaporationg the rest 6.0 kg of solution contains 3.6 kg of water and 2.4 kg of water.
2. 8.0 kg of mixed solutins 5.0 kg of water and 3.0 kg of liquid X.
So percent of liquid X in new solutin is 3.0 / 8.0 * 100 = 37.5 %

SOLUTION:


8 kg of solution Y contains 5.6 kg of water and 2.4 kg of liquid X.
2 kg of solution Y contains 1.4 kg of water and 0.6 kg of liquid X.
AFTER evaporation
6 kg of solution Y contains 3.6 kg of water and 2.4 kg of liquid X.
SINCE NO EVAPORATION TAKE PLACE IN LIQUID 'X'
So, Total liquid x is 2.4 kg + .6 kg = 3 kg
