suppose, Eshan writes 2poems in first 18days 18*2=36.
2poems in next 2 days 2*2=4, 36+4=40
and 3poems in next 1day 1*3=3, 40+3=43
So, Ultimately he takes (18+2+1) = 21days to write 43 poems.

now suppose, Marry writes 3poems in 1st 18days 18*3=54
2poems in next 2days 2*2=4, 54+4=58
3poems in next 1 day 1*3=3, 58+3=61
So ultimately marry takes (18+2+1)= 21days to write 61poems.

Mary wrote 61 poems in x days (maximum of 3 poems per day)
Therefore x is greater than 20(3*20

each can write max 3 Poems a day..so let Eshan writing 2 Poems each day which make 2*20=40 and one day he can write 3 Poems.that makes 21 days.
similarly,let Mary write 3 Poems each day.therefore,3*20=60 and one day she write 1 Poem.that makes 21 days.

eshan wrote 2 poems each day for 20 days ==20*2=40,and 3 poems in one day 3*1=3.
==>20*2+1*3=43 ==>21days
mary wrote 3 poems each day for 19 days ==19*3=57,and 4 poems in 2 days.
==>19*3+2*2 ==>19+2=21 days

total no of poems they wrote ...43 + 61 =104.
total no of poems ther wrote in 1 day = around 5

104/5 = 20.80 or 21

so based on option ans is 21
(21*2)+(21*3)=105

Ans is b)21..
because eshan and mary can write max upto 3 poems a day...
eshan wrote 61 poems...21 * 3=63...eshan wrote 3 poems for about 19 days and 2 poems for about 2 days which gives 19*3 + 2*2=57+4=61..
so answer is 21..

from the options it is 21, if mary wrote 3 poems a day in 21 days only it possible
19*3=57 wrong
21*3=63 possibilty
2o*3=60 wrong

43 = 2(d-y) + 3y
61 = 2(d-y) + 3y

if v take equ 2 for all d values

61 = 2(20-y) + 3y
