if we simplify it we get the ratio 20:15:12
assuming that A's capital is Rs 20
B's capital is Rs 15
C's capital is Rs 12
so A's capital Rs 20 is rolled for 4 month & Rs 10(half) is rolled for next 8 months.
for B,Rs 15 is rolled for 12 months.
for C,Rs 12 is rolled for 12 months.
so the ratio is now 160:180:144
according to this ratio the profit is distributed.

step1: now convert all the fractions by taking lcm
lcm is 60.
step2: the ratio becomes as 20:15:12 when we calculate lcm
step3: now it is given in the question as A withdraws the money after 4 months...so for 4 months he used 20...
then again the remaining 8 months he used half of the amount so it becomes 10..
so we can write A:B:C as : (20*4+10*8):15:12
step4: computing will get A:B:C=40:45:36
so A's share out of annual profit of Rs.847 is ,
step5: therefore A's share=( 40/(40+45+36))*847
==>(40/121)*847=280
