so 435 becomes 534

it is base 8 addition 137+276, unit digit 7+6=13 which is written as 15,3+7+1=11 written as 13 then 1+2+1=4 written as it is . so same way in 731+672 is written as 1+2=3, 3+7=10 written as 12 ,7+6+1=14 written as 16. so the answer is 1623

because
137=731&276=672 then 435=534

it's 8 base addition
in general addition
731+672=1403
but in 8 base addition ans is 731+672=1623

6+7 = 13 (base 10) which is 15 (base 8). So write down a 5 and carry the one.
3+7+1 = 11 (base 10), which is 13 (base 8). Write down a 3 and carry the one.
1+2+1=4.

So 137 (base 8) + 276 (base 8) = 435 (base 8). So far so good!

Now do the other addition base 8:

1+2=3, so the last digit is 3
3+7=10 (base 10) = 12 (base 8), so the next digit is 2. Carry the 1.
7+6+1 = 14 (base 10) = 16 (base 8).

So our answer is 1623 (base 8)

Now converting 731 and 672 in decimal

7×8^2 + 3×8^1 + 1×8^0 = 473
6×8^2 + 7×8^1 + 2×8^0 = 442

Adding 473 + 442 = 915

Converting 915 into base 8 = 1623
